Classes Begin Tuesday, August 15, 2017

Summer is winding down. Classes begin Tuesday, August 15th, bright and early. Be sure to give yourself extra time on the first days of school. You will need to find your homeroom in order to receive your program. Also, remember Tuesdays are our PD/CPT days and school ends at 1:06 p.m. every Tuesday, including the first day of school.

Byrd MS HVAC Project to Commence This Fall

The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) project to upgrade our system will begin this semester. Staff and students from building will be moving to A-4 (Poly Freshman Center) over the next three years as the HVAC in each building is being worked on.

Byrd MS Opens a MakerSpace!

We are opening a MakerSpace here at Byrd. What is a MakerSpace you ask. Well, a MakerSpace is a classroom in which students will have opportunities to explore and create. What will they explore? What will they create?

Byrd Magnet Math Placement Testing Makeup

We will hold an optional mathematics testing makeup for all students interested in the Algebra I or Geometry pathways on Tuesday, June 6th from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students must arrive before 4:15 p.m. to begin the test. All students arriving after 4:15 p.m. will not be permitted to begin the test.
